This afternoon we went to the Royal Gorge. It seems pretty dinky and unimpressive so soon after seeing the Grand Canyon, but it's still a fun place to go (in spite of the 30 - 50 mph winds today). The winds have stirred up a ton of dust, and all of us are a little sneezy and wheezy.

Vacation Day 8
Last night Jan told me she didn't think they were going to keep the last puppy, Hippy. Ryan has been treated for his dog allergies and has been able to be around all kinds of animals for over a month now, so I said if we were driving home I'd just take him with us. Hippy is great with the kids and seems to really like the whole family. Jan suggested taking him on the plane, and that set things in motion. Unbeknownst to the kids, we made a plan to take him home with us. Sree took the kids to buy a kennel for transporting Hippy on the plane and told them they were just running an errand for Jan.
