I think this was the perfect length of vacation. We're happy to be home, but we weren't just dying to get back here. Everyone agrees that this is in the top two best family vacations ever. Bringing home a dog kind of pushes it to the number one position for the kids.
Hippy threw up three times in the car on the way to the airport, but he couldn't have been a better dog when we put him in his kennel and checked him with our baggage. He never made a peep, and was still quiet when we picked him up after the flight. He was overjoyed to see us. I'm sorry he had to go through the trauma, but I definitely think it helped him bond with us. "Hey! You people are saving me from the horrible underbelly of the plane!!! YAY!!!"
