When Mira opened the gift certificate for her lizard, she screamed, jumped up and down, hugged me and cried all at the same time. Of course we were at PetSmart as soon as they opened this morning, and we came home with Norrick.
Both kids also got digital cameras, and Mira has taken some pretty good photos so far. I like this one of Jack.
And if I may brag for a moment (hahahaha...isn't that the very reason this blog exists?) Mira has been playing a lot of songs by ear the past week. She figured out Silent Night, Winter Wonderland, and today she's working on Fur Elise by Beethoven. I just printed out the sheet music and was a little staggered to see how far she's gotten. She just has an electric keyboard, but she's been saving her allowance for months and is shopping for a decent used piano on craigslist.
Ryan is very, very busy today assembling LEGO things. We haven't seen much of him and don't expect to for a while.
Here we are on Christmas day. Yeah, I could use the timer and get a photo of all three of us, but this was a lot easier.
