Watch out for the cute, little ones

While Ryan had guitar lessons this week, Mira and I hung out with the instructor's very bright 11-year old daughter one day. I brought my chess board, and she and Mira played. I guess Victoria took a look at little Mira, who had just been rambling on about how much she likes puppies, and thought she'd have an easy go of it. Another kid walked out and asked who was winning, and Victoria said "well, she's just learning how to play." She probably thought she was being kind. Mira indignantly replied "I know how to play," and 30 minutes later the game ended in a stalemate.
