R.I.P.

Rainga, Mira's betta fish, finally shed his mortal coil today. He's been lying at the bottom of his tank for two days, only moving when we jiggled the tank. We had him for two and a half years. Mira is still asleep, but I'm sure she will cry dramatically when she does wake up. We're planning a burial "at sea." We'll take him to the lake behind the house, say a few words, and toss him in. OK, we'll probably gently place him in. Mira gets upset when I even toss one of her plastic animals to her. It's not respectful, you see, and they don't like it.
