I finally heard from my real estate agent, after much heel-dragging on her part. I've come to an agreement with the owners of the house I want, and we'll close on August 13. It's a very cute house with a nice-sized yard and several really big trees. The kids are really excited, and so am I.
My frenzied 3-day plan to whip this house into shape was a success. We listed it with another real estate agent yesterday, which means the kids and I will be living like fish in bowls til mid-August when we move into the new house. I don't mind doing it knowing there's an end in sight, and hopefully the house will sell before then anyway.
