Old Dog

Today we bought The Daring Book for Girls, which is an absolutely excellent book that covers everything from how to do cartwheels and make cootie catchers to the history of the Queens of the Ancient World and how to change a tire. There are plenty of things to hold the interest of girls and boys of all ages, including this middle-aged girl, and I just learned an elusive skill I've been envious of my whole life: the two fingered whistle. I don't remember the last time I was this excited to learn a new trick.
